Our Church & Vision
Calvary Chapel is a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our desire as His followers is to know Christ and to be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe the true basis of Christian fellowship is His agape love and also the truth of Scripture.
We exist to glorify Jesus foremost in all things. We desire to be a “gateway” for people to meet Jesus in salvation, to come be strengthened and equipped spiritually, and to go forth and minister in the world which Jesus wants to reach.
Colossians 1:28 “Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect (matured) in Christ Jesus.”
As a Church We Believe Worship should be:
Spiritual
We seek to worship both in Spirit and Truth as instructed to by our Lord in Scripture. We give great place to offering praise through singing, seeking the LORD through prayer, and endeavoring to be yielded to the Spirit to direct our gatherings. Yet, doing such things decently and in order as it aligns with Scripture.
Biblical
Our church meetings are designed with great emphasis upon the teaching of the Word of God so that He might instruct us how He should be worshiped and that we may learn how to properly walk with Him. It is through hearing God speak to us, through what He has spoken in His Word, that we know His will in matters and are best equipped to serve Him.
Fruitful
We look for His love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we have truly been worshiping Him. The Fruit of the Spirit is love. When we have spent time having an encounter with our God we shall be more like Jesus.
